Volcanoes of Fuencaliente
Volcanes San Antonio y Teneguía, Fuencaliente
The two volcanoes, San Antonio (1677) and Teneguía (1971), located in Fuencaliente, provide a perfect opportunity to get in touch with the volcanic landscapes and take a walk along the edge of their craters. Teneguía has been the most recent eruption on Spanish soil and you can still feel its heat.
If you are interested in the ins and outs of the history of volcanism on La Palma, we recommend starting at the Visitors Center of the San Antonio Volcano, which is reached by car.
